Sand Slinger (Japanese: 砂嵐時攻撃時攻撃↓ Attack Reduction During Attack in Sandstorm) is a family of skills in Pokémon Masters EX.

Effect

When the Pokémon successfully lands an attack on the target while a sandstorm is the active weather condition on the field of play, it has a chance of lowering the target's Attack by one stat rank. The skill can range from Sand Slinger 1 to Sand Slinger 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a higher chance of activation. Sand Slinger 9 will always lower the target's Attack. Currently, only Sand Slinger 9 is available on scoutable sync pairs. The skill applies to the Pokémon's usual attack moves, including buddy moves, but not sync moves or max moves.

The skill will act independently of the move's innate chance of lowering the target's Attack (if applicable). If the Pokémon has access to more than one Sand Slinger skill, each will have a chance of activating independently of each other.
