Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art ultra rare card, and a special illustration rare card in the Obsidian Flames expansion, first released in the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame expansion. The Regular and ultra rare prints feature artwork by takuyoa, while the special illustration rare print features artwork by Jerky.
The Regular print was reprinted, alongside a new Shiny ultra rare print with artwork by the same illustrator, in the Japanese Shiny Treasure ex subset. This Shiny ultra rare print was later released outside Asia in the special Paldean Fates expansion. In Japan, the Regular print was available as a Non Holofoil in both of the Starter Deck & Build Sets, the Stellar Miracle Deck Build Box, the Battle Partners Deck Build Box, and the Premium Trainer Box MEGA.
English-language Holofoil variants were also available in Southeast Asian countries. A variant with a Pokémon TCG Gym stamp was one of three cards enclosed within Present Packs that were first distributed at Twilight Masquerade Prerelease Tournaments. Participating Pokémon TCG Gym stores in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, as well as those in Hong Kong selling English localizations of the TCG, began to hold these events in early May 2024 up until May 23, 2024. All attendees were given a Present Pack and three Twilight Masquerade booster packs upon the conclusion of a tournament.[1][2][3][4] The Present Packs were also given to participants of Twilight Masquerade New Expansion Battle events, which were held at Pokémon TCG Gym stores in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong between May 24 and June 23, 2024.[5][6][7][8]
Another variant was available as a Great Ball League prize in the Pokémon Asia Championship Series (PACS), which received a structural overhaul for 2024-25. English-language Great Ball Leagues were tournaments held at Pokémon TCG Gym stores in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines during three 1-month long seasons over the course of the year. The top placing players of each tournament were given a copy of this variant, which features a Great Ball League stamp on the left side of the artwork.[9][10][11]
