Snorunt's Summer Vacation (Japanese: ふぶきのなつやすみ Blizzard on a Summer Holiday) is the seventh episode of POKÉTOON. It was first released in Japan on the official Pokémon Kids TV YouTube channel on October 8, 2021 and was released on Pokémon TV on July 29, 2022, and on the official English Pokémon YouTube channel on August 25, 2022.

An unexpected snowfall interrupts a hot summer day! What will three friends do when they discover the source of the flurry is a Pokémon in distress?

Plot

In a tropical area, a Skwovet grabs and eats a fallen Berry. This is seen by Kino while running out of his house, despite his mother asking where he was headed. Kino snaps a photo of the Skwovet scurrying away before continuing to run, passing a boy waiting at the bus stop with a Bounsweet. Kino continues to head towards a Secret Base while two of his friends, Bill and Nathan, play a card game. Kino arrives outside the base and rings a makeshift bell. Bill and Nathan stop the game and ask for their secret code before letting Kino inside. Kino questions the point of the secret code, but Nathan explains that a Secret Base should have one. Eventually Kino notices a unusual temperature drop. They rule out the possibility of an air conditioner before it drops to a freezing temperature. The trio decide to check outside, and it was snowing despite it being summer in a tropical area. They start to follow the snow to its source, which ends up being a cave on a rocky cliff side. They prepare by wearing extra clothes before heading into the cave with flashlights.

Inside the cave they get a glimpse of something before it hides behind the rocks and the snow stops. Kino gets an idea and tells Nathan to leave an ice cube. It reveals itself as a Snorunt and begins to eat the ice cube. Bill wonders what a Snorunt is doing all the way out here as it falls asleep. The group discusses what they should do and if the Snorunt will be okay. Nathan suggests they take it to a Pokémon Center, as Snorunt wouldn't be used to this kind of environment. This does end up posing a problem to them, as their Secret Base could be discovered. They decide to take that risk, bringing the Snorunt to the center. The Pokémon Center staff receive the Pokémon and begin to take care of it. They guess it was there because someone released it by mistake. The Snorunt was doing its natural behavior during warmer seasons to survive without snow, but the area was still too hot and it ended up overexerting itself. The group decided to personally bring the Pokémon on a long bus trip to its natural habitat, before reforming their old Secret Base into a Pokémon Research Base.
