This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art ultra rare card, and a special illustration rare card in the Mega Evolution expansion, first released in the Japanese Mega Brave expansion. Trivia

With 380 HP, Mega Venusaur ex currently has the highest base HP of any tournament-legal card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Mega Venusaur ex's Solar Transfer Ability is functionally similar to the "Energy Trans" Pokémon Power of Venusaur from the Base Set. The only difference is that Solar Transfer can only move Basic Energy.
The special illustration rare print of this card forms a combined illustration with the illustration rare prints of Bulbasaur and Ivysaur from the same set.
