Local concern

Local concerns (Japanese: みんなの困りごと Everyone's Problems) are a feature introduced in Detective Pikachu Returns. These are small optional tasks that local residents, including Pokémon, will ask Tim and Pikachu for assistance in finding a solution. These are detailed in a separate concerns list, which can be accessed by pressing the Y button. When these tasks are completed, newspaper articles will talk about events based on said tasks. The game's prologue and final chapter (A Plan That Transcends Time) feature no local concerns.
