Great Infernal Arrival (Japanese: 地獄のアイドル登場！ Hellish Idol Appears!) was an Academy Founding Chapter event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pair Eri & Annihilape.
First run
The event first ran from November 9 to 27, 2024. The "Eri Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Eri & Annihilape for the duration of the event.
This run featured event points, a currency that players could earn by completing battles. Players received rewards based on the number of points accumulated, including 5★ Scout Tickets, a Sprint Move Candy Coin, a 5★ Power-Up, and medals. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.
The player could battle using Eri & Annihilape to obtain +0.6× bonus points; The Masked Royal & Incineroar, Penny & Sylveon, or Crasher Wake & Floatzel to obtain +0.4× bonus points; and any unlisted Paldea sync pairs to obtain +0.2× bonus points.
This run featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with one or fewer sync pairs fainting and sync pairs with specific theme skills on the team.
Second run
The event reran from March 18 to April 20, 2025 as part of the Academy Coming Soon! Read the Founding Chapter Again! event leading up to the debut of the first academy event, Pasio Academy Opening. This run only contained the story areas; the event points and battle areas did not return. In addition, no missions were available, and no medals could be earned.
Third run
The event reran from August 5 to 23, 2025 as part of the Read the Founding Chapter Again! event, in conjunction with the debut of the academy event Best Buddies Program. Everything was the same as the previous run.
