Dynamax Cannon deals damage. If the target is Dynamaxed or Gigantamaxed, its damage is doubled. The bonus does not apply to EternamaxEternatus, despite its similarities to a Gigantamaxed Pokémon.
Encore fails if the target's last move was Dynamax Cannon.
Generation VIII
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Dynamax Cannon cannot be selected in a battle.
Generation IX
As there is no Dynamax mechanic in Generation IX, Dynamax Cannon now deals damage with no secondary effect.
Bold indicates a Pokémon gains STAB from this move. Italics indicates a Pokémon whose Evolution or alternate form receives STAB from this move. A dash (−) indicates a Pokémon cannot learn the move by the designated method. An empty cell indicates a Pokémon that is unavailable in that game/generation.
In Pokémon GO, Dynamax Cannon is a Charged Attack that debuted on August 17, 2025. Dynamax Cannon can also be used in Max Battles as a Max Move, and can be leveled up as one. Dynamax Cannon can't be replaced with another move using Charged TMs. Its Adventure Effect outside of battle will increase the level of all Max Moves by 1 (excluding Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash). Any Max Moves at Level 3 will increase to Level 4, which provides an exceptionally large amount of power relative to a standard level up, while any locked Max Moves will temporarily be raised to Level 1. It costs 5,000 and 30, and lasts 10 minutes.
Eternatus gathers Dynamax energy in its core and fires it at the opponent through its mouth in the form of a powerful red and purple beam. The excess Dynamax energy can cause opponents to Dynamax or Gigantamax and go berserk.
