Release information
This tag was available as part of the Get in Battle Free Trial Special Edition ~Dark Terastal Charizard Challenge~ in Yokohama event, which was present at two locations during August 2023. One event was held at Bandai Namco Cross Store Yokohama between August 9 and 14, while another was held at Pacifco Yokohama between August 11 and 13 during the 2023 Pokémon World Championships.[1] Each venue was planned to accommodate 3,000 people using a numbered ticket system to determine play order. Each participant would play one free session of a custom Get in Battle! game that always had a Dark-type Tera Charizard as the Boss Pokémon. The other two opponent Pokémon were selected from a pool of 37 that featured in previous sets. Participants were required to use a team of rental Pokémon and were not permitted to use any Memory tags. At the end of the session, participants could dispense one tag of any Pokémon caught during the Get Time! or Last!! Get Time! phase. All tags available as part of the event were gold in color.
Participants at the Bandai Namco Cross Store Yokohama event could watch performances by Mezastar Navigators present on each day, while those at the Pacifico Yokohama event could view previous Takara Tomy/Marvelous arcade machines Pokémon Battrio, Pokémon Tretta, and Pokémon Ga-Olé at the Pokémon Amusement Museum. Participants at either venue could also obtain a gift set comprising a promotional Sprigatito tag, a Comprehensive How-to-Play Book, a Trial Memory tag, and a tag-shaped uchiwa (fan) featuring a Charizard design.
This tag could be obtained again by playing the same limited game mode on machines at venues hosting the Autumn Mezastar Festa 2023. The Festa was present at ÆON Mall Sapporo Hassamu, Sapporo on September 17, 2023; at ÆON Mall Fukuoka, Fukuoka on September 24, 2023; at ÆON Mall Ibaraki, Osaka on October 22, 2023; at ÆON Mall Makuhari New City, Chiba on October 29, 2023; and at ÆON Mall Toyokawa, Toyokawa on November 5, 2023.[2] Each venue was planned to accommodate 1,200 people using a numbered ticket system to determine play order. Visitors could watch performances by the Mezastar Navigator(s) present at each venue; children under junior high school age could also participate in autograph sessions and get an item signed by one of them. Each venue planned to offer 200 places for these sessions, which were allocated with numbered wristbands.
This tag could be obtained a final time in the same manner at venues hosting the Pokémon Mezastar Thank You Tour. The first event was held at ÆON Mall Tsurumi Ryokuchi, Osaka on the weekend of April 27 and 28, 2024; the second was held at Lazona Kawasaki Plaza, Kawasaki, Kanagawa during the holiday weekend of May 5 and 6, 2024; the third event was held at ÆON Mall Nogata, Fukuoka on the weekend of May 11 and 12, 2024.[3] Each venue was planned to accommodate 1,000 people using a numbered ticket system to determine play order. All visitors were randomly given one of five Pokémon Mezastar Thank You Tour stickers for as long as stocks lasted. Four of the designs featured a single Mezastar Navigator complete with signature, while the fifth design featured a promotion for the upcoming Pokémon Frienda arcade game. Visitors could watch performances by the Mezastar Navigators present at each venue; special performances were also conducted at the Lazona Kawasaki Plaza venue that featured voice actress and singer Riko Kohara, as well as singers Naomi Tamura and Tomohiro Hatano.
