Scarlet & Violet: Ancient Times, Future Progress (Simplified Chinese: 朱&紫 亘古开来) is the name given to the first Simplified ChinesePokémon Trading Card Game expansion of the Scarlet & Violet era, and the ninth main expansion overall.
Ancient Times, Future Progress was the first Scarlet & Violet expansion to be released in the Simplified Chinese language version of the Pokémon Trading Card Game; as such, it introduced Generation IX Pokémon and new mechanics to the game, including Pokémon ex, while Pokémon Tool cards were reclassified as their own category of Trainer card, rather than a subset of Item cards as they were previously.
Like previous expansions released in the Simplified Chinese language, due to the TCG being behind other regions (by approximately two years at this point),[1] the expansion contained cards from across several early Scarlet & Violet Era expansions; however, this expansion did not comprise any subsets like previous ones did, with the same set of cards being available from all booster packs.
Starting with this set, 25-card booster packs were replaced with 20-card booster packs, though the price of each pack remained the same. 5-card packs remained unchanged. Therefore, cards were available in two different types of booster packs:
5-card booster packs; one card was either Reverse Holofoil or had a rarity of Rare or higher;
20-card booster packs; six cards were either Reverse Holofoil or had a rarity of Rare of higher.
Each of the 113 Common, Uncommon, and Rare cards in the expansion came in two Reverse Holofoil variants - one with a Poké Ball motif, and a rarer one with a Master Ball motif:

Pokémon UNITE collaboration
As part of a collaboration with Pokémon UNITE, each booster pack contained a gift code card that players could redeem for a chance to obtain special Miraidon-themed items, including a Miraidon Suit, a Miraidon Shirt, or a Miraidon Frame for profile pictures.[2]
↑In Japan, the first Scarlet & Violet era expansions—Scarlet ex and Violet ex—were released on January 20, 2023, almost exactly two years before Ancient Times, Future Progress.
