Romulan Republic Navy Ranks
Romulan Republic Navy Ranks represent the basic organisational structure of the Romulan Republic Navy, with a grade and insignia for all personnel. While the navy is the military wing of the Republic, and consider themselves the shield of its democracy and freedom, it also fulfils duties of scientific research and exploration, diplomacy, and humanitarian aid.
The Reman Commando Corps, once a conscripted elite force in the military of the Romulan Star Empire, is now a volunteer wing of the Republic military, specialising as a humanitarian organisation helping establish and develop new colonies. They are considered a formal part of the navy, and wear the same insignia as naval officers.
