Minecraft: Essential Handbook is a guide to various Minecraft mechanics and techniques written by Stephanie Milton with help by Paul Soares Jr. and Jordan Maron ("CaptainSparklez") and first published in the United States by Scholastic on November 26, 2013,[1] and in the United Kingdom by Egmont Books as Minecraft: Beginner's Handbook that same year.[2] This was among the first books released for the game and also features an exclusive interview between Jens Bergensten and Markus Persson.
An Updated Edition was released on July 28, 2015, which added information pertaining to the Bountiful Update.[3][4]
