1.14.40

1.14.40 is the first and only beta of Education Edition 1.14.50, released on October 14, 2020, which added new Learn to Code features.[1]

Coding interface

  • New coding interface (IDE) uses python in a notebook-style interface which alternates between instructions and opportunities to write code.

Changes

Code Builder

  • Relocated menus to provide more space for coding and the menu options to be more understandable.
  • Home and Reset Editor buttons have been added to the Code Builder menu.

Library Updates

  • Mac and iPad users can now share or assign Library lessons via Google Classroom or email.

URL Allow List

  • All authentication is now done using *.minecrafteduservices.com.

Fixes

  • Various fixes to address known issues.
