Utility closet

Utility closets were smaller spaces aboard starships for storing miscellaneous equipment. The USS Discovery had a utility closet on deck 12.

While reallocating science laboratory space aboard the Discovery in 2257, Ensign Sylvia Tilly indicated that she'd never seen Brianna do anything other than meditate, even though the logic sciences department was assigned a two-level science lab on deck 3. To accommodate Lieutenant Paul Stamets' spore drive research, Tilly reassigned Brianna's logic sciences lab to a utility closet on deck 12. (DIS: "Brother")
