USS Stargazer (23rd century)

The USS Stargazer was a Federation Radiant-class starship that was in service in the mid-23rd century and the first starship of its name. Like its successors, this ship had four nacelles.

In 2401, a 24 kt gold-plated model of this starship was displayed alongside its successors, the USS Stargazer (NCC-2893) and the USS Stargazer (NCC-82893) in the latter's ready room. (PIC: "The Star Gazer")

These models were created by starship designer Bill Krause, who identified the class of this Stargazer and when it was operational. [1] [2] [3] A concept model gave it the registry number NCC-1578, but this was not shown on screen. Furthermore, the ship is stated to be have been launched in 2268 from the Tycho Starship Yards, Luna. [4] [5] [6]
