USS Jemison

The USS Jemison was a Federation Type 14 shuttlecraft operated by Starfleet in the early 25th century.

In 2401, this shuttle transported Admiral Jean-Luc Picard to the USS Stargazer. (PIC: "The Star Gazer")

Information on this shuttle was provided by Star Trek: Picard production designer Dave Blass at his twitter page twitter page (X) [1].

This shuttlecraft was named for NASA astronaut Mae Jemison. This is one of a small number of shuttlecraft whose name was preceded by "USS"; the others were Danube- and Yellowstone-class runabouts.

This initial study model bore the name USS Tyson NCC-1122-E as posted on Dave Blass's Carbonmade site. [2]
