Third Assault Group

The Third Assault Group was a Cardassian heavy weapons unit in the Ninth Order.

The unit participated in the Occupation of Bajor, and was responsible for critically injuring Kira Taban and destroying his village. Afterwards, the Shakaar resistance cell located them outside Tempasa and launched an attack on their compound with mortars. Kira Nerys insisted on joining the attack, which caused her to miss her father's death. (DS9: "Ties of Blood and Water")
