Systems review

A systems review was a series of questions and tests one went over to (re)familiarize oneself with a spacecraft's systems.

In 2368, while talking to Soren, William T. Riker said, "Later we'll try a flight simulation. Right now let's do a systems review. I'll talk you through it." Soren had no issues with the review, easily able to identify the components. (TNG: "The Outcast")
