Swill

Swill, like rot-gut, was typically the term used to described an inexpensive liquor or beer, but unlike rot-gut, may refer to any food-stuff or non-alcoholic beverage of unquestionably poor quality.

When Data spoke with Romulan defector Setal in 2366, while the two stood together in Ten Forward aboard the USS Enterprise -D, Setal commented on the synthehol he was drinking, describing it as "synthetic swill", instead wishing that the food terminals there could producing Romulan ale instead. (TNG: "The Defector")

Following the Cardassian withdraw from Terok Nor/Deep Space 9 in 2369, Quark found himself stuck with an unwanted order of 5,000 wrappages of yamok sauce, adding "they're the only ones who could stomach that swill." (DS9: "Progress")

Weyoun 5 considered Cardassian kanar to be swill. (DS9: "Image in the Sand")
