Summary judgment

A summary judgment was a form of summary justice where judgment was entered against the accused by a court without going to trial.

Q, during his trial against Humanity, accused Captain Jean-Luc Picard of being dilatory and gave him twenty-four hours to learn the secret of the Farpoint Station, warning that any further delays would risk summary judgment against him. (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint")
