Climate
Climate was a term for the meteorological activity a specific region received.
The three continents on the southern hemisphere on Terra Nova had the same climate as the northern hemisphere. (ENT: "Terra Nova")
Climate could be controlled by computers, such as Vaal on Gamma Trianguli VI or Vexilon of Corazonia. These computers could create ideal environments for the inhabitants of a planet or manipulate weather to achieve certain ends. Earth was considered by some to have some of the best vacation spots in the galaxy, with a variety of climates, cultures, and people. In the distant past, nomadic people would travel great distances to find more temperate lands. The fungus amanita muscaria was known to be native to the planet's sub-arctic climate. The term "climate" could also be used metaphorically to indicate favorable conditions, such as a "climate for peace" or a "climate of mistrust." (VOY: "Resistance", "Alliances")
