Stoicism

Stoicism was the act of bearing pain and difficulty without emotional outbursts or complaints.

In 2268, Spock followed James T. Kirk's line of thinking on what would have happened if the captain's ancestors had left their cities for the wilderness: they "would've learned to wear skins, adopted stoic mannerisms, learned the bow and the lance." (TOS: "The Omega Glory")

In 2365, Data noted that Ira Graves faced his impending death "with remarkable courage and stoicism." (TNG: "The Schizoid Man")
