Starbase 153

Starbase 153, abbreviated as SB153, was a Federation starbase administered by Starfleet. This starbase was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

In 2365, this base launched a modified class-8 probe, with special emissary K'Ehleyr inside, for a critical rendezvous with the USS Enterprise-D. It did so because other transportation was not available, and time was of the essence. (TNG: "The Emissary")

In 2374, during the Dominion War, this base reported numerous casualties to Starfleet Command. The casualties were Rick K. Bittle, Margaret C. Clark, Barbara P. Covington, Curt F. Danhauser, Laura E. Derr, Dorothy R. Duder, Russ A. English, Terry P. Erdmann, Ann T. Flood, John A. Fredrickson, Alice K. Ginsburt, Kurt S. Hansen, Teri T. Hansen, and Matata L. Kimya. The name of the reporting base and the casualties were listed in the wardroom of Deep Space 9. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight", okudagram)

In the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Starbase 153 was located in the Beta Quadrant.
