Sarnia Prime

Sarnia Prime, or simply Sarnia, was the inhabited prime planet in its star system.

In 2401, there was an outbreak of Galarian fever on Sarnia, which was engineered by local warlords to kill refugees in the free-zone in order to claim the territory. In response, the Fenris Rangers established a quarantine zone around the planet. The SS Eleos XII transported medical supplies to alleviate the pandemic, with Jack Crusher bribing the Rangers with weapons in exchange for access to the zone. However, the Rangers also surreptitiously alerted the "Marked Woman", whose forces subsequently attacked the Eleos XII; the ship fled to Kaphar, but was pursued. According to Terry Matalas, the name of this planet is a reference to Sarnia, Canada, where scenes for the city of Titan were shot for 12 Monkeys. [1]
