The countryside or country was a rural area or parkland on the surface of a planet that was outside of cities or towns. It was typically a woodland area, and was an especially popular spot for horseback riding. (Star Trek Into Darkness; TOS: "The Cage"; TNG: "Pen Pals"; Star Trek Generations)
