A rowboat was a type of boat that was propelled manually through the use of oars.

In 2151, after learning he was pregnant with Ah'len's offspring, Trip Tucker was at a loss as to how he could have been impregnated, saying all they did was ride in a rowboat. (ENT: "Unexpected")

In 2372, while on planet New Earth in the Delta Quadrant, Chakotay considered building a rowboat for exploring a nearby river. Kathryn Janeway thought they might use the boat for a camping trip; however, Chakotay had doubts on whether the boat could hold a bathtub. Janeway responded that there was the river for bathing. (VOY: "Resolutions")

The schematic labeled the components of a rowboat. These components listed were frame, gunwale, keel, oar locks, rubbing strakes, rudder, rudder stick, sculls, stem, stern, and strakes.
