Richard Cox (born 6 May 1948; age 77) is an actor from New York City, New York, who played the role of Kyril Finn in the Star Trek: The Next Generation third season episode "The High Ground".

He has appeared in a number of other television series, including The Rockford Files, Midnight Caller (1988, starring Gary Cole), Murder, She Wrote, L.A. Law, Law & Order, Guiding Light, The X-Files (2000, starring Gillian Anderson, with Shannon O'Hurley, Greg Poland, Michael Hungerford, Ron Marasco and directed by Kim Manners), Millennium, The Practice, and ER. He also guest-starred in an episode of Threshold, which starred Next Generation actor Brent Spiner; Brannon Braga, Michael Sussman, and André Bormanis wrote and produced for the series.

Cox was a regular on Executive Suite, as were Sharon Acker, Leigh J. McCloskey, Paul Lambert, Madlyn Rhue, Percy Rodriguez, Mitchell Ryan, and William Smithers. Next Generation/Star Trek: Deep Space Nine director Corey Allen was also a director for this series. Cox also had a recurring role in The Visitor (1997-98), starring fellow Next Generation guest star Leon Rippy.

His feature film credits include Between the Lines (1977, starring Lindsay Crouse, with Stephen Collins, Joe Morton, Michael J. Pollard and Robert Costanzo), Cruising (1980, with Paul Sorvino and Mike Starr), King of the Mountain (1981, with Seymour Cassel and Anthony De Longis), Zombie High (1987, starring Virginia Madsen and Kay E. Kuter), Shattered Innocence (1988, with Stephen Yoakam and Dennis Howard), Looking for Richard (1996, with Harris Yulin, Kevin Conway, Winona Ryder and F. Murray Abraham), and The Climb (1998, with Stephen McHattie). He also had a role in American Tragedy (2000, co-starring Christopher Plummer and Jeff Kober).
