Reverse thruster

The reverse thruster was a type of thruster used by the red angel suit.

In 3188, after a midspace collision with a ship, Michael Burnham, the wearer of the suit, ordered an increase in the reverse thruster and a switch to manual attitude control. The suit's computer could not comply as a result of damage to the systems, requiring a full reboot. Upon the rebooting being completed and seconds from impacting into the surface of Hima, Burnham requested an increase in the reverse thruster and the activation of the impact shield.
