Impact shield

The impact shield was a type of shield used by the red angel suit for protecting the suit's occupant from an impact.

In 3188, Michael Burnham ordered the suit's computer to increase the reverse thrusters and activate the impact shield seconds before she impacted the surface of Hima. (DIS: "That Hope Is You, Part 1")
