Reed Birney
Reed Birney (born 11 September 1954; age 70) is an actor who played Luq in the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds second season episode "Among the Lotus Eaters".
Birney co-starred with Jason Isaacs in Mass (2021) and had a supporting role in The Menu (2022). He is also known for his recurring roles in the series Gossip Girl (2007-09, with Wallace Shawn), House of Cards (2013-17, with Reg E. Cathey, Maryann Plunkett, Jimmi Simpson, Benito Martinez, Ralph Byers, Shawn Doyle, John Jarvis, and Kenneth Tigar), The Blacklist (2014-15, with Thomas Kopache and Hélène Cardona), Titan (2018-22, with Rachel Nichols, Sean Meldrum, Craig Henry, and Steve Rizzo), and Home Before Dark (2021-22, with Michael Greyeyes, Lindy Booth, Sharon Lawrence, Scott Lawrence, Adrian Holmes, and Damon Runyan).
He also appeared in guest roles on series such as Eight is Enough (with Johnny Haymer), Tales from the Crypt (with John Kassir), From the Earth to the Moon (with Clint Howard, Kieran Mulroney, Conor O'Farrell, and Alan Ruck), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (starring Mariska Hargitay and Michelle Hurd), Ed (starring Jana Marie Hupp, with Mike Starr), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (with Rebecca Wisocky), The Good Wife (with Stephen Root), Blue Bloods (starring Len Cariou), Madam Secretary (starring Keith Carradine, with Bebe Neuwirth and Keone Young), Chicago Med (with Maryann Plunkett), The Americans, The Handmaid's Tale (with Bahia Watson, Jordana Blake, and Victoria Goodman), and Succession (with Alan Ruck and Stephen Root).
