Reception (communication)

A reception was a measurement of the quality of a communications signal.

While attempting to contact Ventax II in 2367, Captain Jean-Luc Picard asked Worf if they could improve the reception. The Klingon explained that the problem was not on the USS Enterprise-D's end, but rather at the source of the signal. (TNG: "Devil's Due")
