M-Zed-5, also known as Outpost MZ-5, was an outpost in the Beta Quadrant. (DIS: "An Obol for Charon")

History

Korris claimed that he booked accommodations on the freighter Batris with his two companions for this outpost in 2364. In his fabrication, Korris claimed that in the passage to this outpost they were attacked by a Ferengi cruiser. (TNG: "Heart of Glory")

Stellar cartography

In 2257, M-Zed-5's location was labeled on the star chart showing the trajectory of Lieutenant Spock's shuttle. (DIS: "An Obol for Charon")

In 2259, the outpost's location was labeled in the stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. The outpost's symbol had a white color, indicating that it was non-aligned. (SNW: "Spock Amok")

In 2399, the outpost's location was labeled on a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. This outpost was in or near to Federation space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")
