Outpost 61

Outpost 61 was a Cardassian border outpost located in the Almatha sector along the Demilitarized Zone that served as both defense and advanced warning. On stardate 48467.3, it was under the command of Gul Toran of the Sixth Order.

That year, as the USS Defiant, under the command of Lieutenant Thomas Riker, entered into Cardassian space, a Maquis ship launched a diversionary strike against this outpost. (DS9: "Defiant")

This outpost's quadrant of origin is inferred based on the position of the Cardassian Union as seen in the star chart appearing in the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends".
