Nationality
Nationality was a legal identification of a person which established them as a subject of a nation or being from a nation. Such a person was a national. Nationality was similar to and sometimes used interchangeably with citizenship, although a national could be a citizen or non-citizen, but typically nationals were citizens and vice versa. Nationality was noted on certain identification cards such as passports.
In 2024, Renée Picard's passport noted her nationality as French. (PIC: "Fly Me to the Moon")
