Medical venom

Medical venom was a type of venom that could be used as a drug to treat synthetic memory degradation.

In 2381, Ensign D'Vana Tendi resorted to hunting Ensign Sam Rutherford through the USS Cerritos with a medical shotgun loaded with cartridges of medical venom, after he rejected her other attempts to treat him for SMD. (LD: "Strange Energies")
