Maxia Zeta was the primary of the Maxia Zeta planetary system. This K-type star had a M-type companion and could be found in the Maxia sector, Alpha Quadrant.

In Maxia Zeta's system, there were 12 planets, with Maxia Zeta III and Maxia Zeta IV in the habitable zone of the primary.

In 2355, this star was depicted on a map of the inner system, which accompanied a captain's log by Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Stargazer. (TNG: "The Battle")
