Malor

Malor was a Klingon who lived in the late 24th century, and the brother of Ma'ah. In contrast to his brother, Malor had little interest in achieving glory in battle, preferring to play video games and snack on gagh. However, he had great skill in handling targs.

In 2382, Malor was working with Ma'ah on their family farm on Qo'noS, since the latter lost his captaincy of the IKS Che'ta' for allowing a mutiny. While delivering bloodwine to the Warrior Pit in the First City, the brothers encountered Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler, who offered to help Ma'ah regain his command via the Ritual of J'ethurgh. Malor did not accompany the others to meet the Klingon Oversight Council, but was later dragged in by Mariner when they needed a fourth for their quv beq.

Malor wanted to quit before the first trial, the Rite of Unending Pain involving painsticks, until Mariner offered him one thousand darseks to stay. He proved critical to their success by physically carrying the other three through the final stage of the Rite, once Boimler realized that they could survive painsticks at maximum setting by distributing the voltage across their bodies. Malor played a key role in the second trial as well, by instructing the others in how to subdue a massive targ. For the final trial, he witnessed Ma'ah defeat and ultimately slay the treacherous Bargh in single combat.

Afterwards, Malor expected to stay on the farm while Ma'ah returned to space, He was surprised and pleased when Ma'ah chose their bloodwine delivery truck for his next command, and offered Malor the position of first officer. (LD: "A Farewell To Farms")

The brothers were later targeted for revenge by Relga, the sister of Dorg and Bargh who considered them to be murderers responsible for her own downfall. Unlike Ma'ah who was prepared to die in battle against Relga, Malor proved to be more sensible, taking them to warp and seeking political asylum from Mariner on the USS Cerritos. Relga attacked the Cerritos, destroying the delivery truck and demanding the brothers, backed up by what appeared to be a message from Admiral Alonzo Freeman.

However, Malor mysteriously vanished, leading to contention between Ma'ah and Mariner who insisted that she had nothing to do with it. Commander Jack Ransom eventually admitted that he had hidden Malor because Ransom suspected that something was off about Freeman's message, thus buying Captain Carol Freeman some time along with giving her plausible deniability. The message was discovered to have been faked by Relga who was just as dishonorable as her brothers. Ultimately, Relga was killed when her Bird-of-Prey was destroyed by the effects of a quantum fissure after its shields were drained by Ensign Olly.

Malor resurfaced as the Cerritos attempted to seal the rift with a gluonic beam without success. Based on his experiences as a farmer, Malor made the suggestion of creating a dam to contain the energy. Realizing that he was right, Mariner was able to stabilize the rift at the cost of it being left permanently open. Ma'ah was shocked that his seemingly unintelligent brother had come up with the solution but engaged in a group hug with Malor and Mariner.

Afterwards, as a result of Relga's dishonorable actions, the Klingon High Council gave Ma'ah command of her fleet. Ma'ah employed his brother as the first officer on Ma'ah's Bird-of-Prey. (LD: "The New Next Generation")
