MCI MC-12

The MCI MC-12 was a motorcoach produced by Motor Coach Industries. These motorcoaches were used as prison transport buses by the Department of Homeland Security. They were equipped with GPS transponders.

In 2024, one of these vehicles was used by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an agency within the Department, to transport detainees from the detention facility at Castaic to a Sanctuary District near the U.S.-Mexico border. To get to the district, the bus took a southerly route on Highway 14. (PIC: "Watcher")
