Lobe's Lodge was a hotel located on Ferenginar. A hotel room's standard amenities there included a bed, a minibar, a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a viewscreen that aired various programs such as Pog & Dar: Cop Landlords and Will They, Won't They?. Most, if not all, amenities were designed to be paid for before use and even had a device that required you to pay to use the devices to pay for the amenities.

In 2381, Lieutenant junior grade Brad Boimler had been assigned travel guide duty to update Federation travelogues for anyone intending on vacationing on Ferenginar. However, Boimler became sidetracked by the various programs playing after he tested the viewscreen. He spent the entire time in the hotel room watching TV until Commander Jack Ransom contacted him, worried about his well-being. While Ransom was glad that Boimler had actually slacked off for once, he did warn him that he allowed a Ferengi bouncer to come and take him back, leading to a muscular Ferengi to bust down the door to his room and use his energy whip to subdue Boimler, much to Ransom's amusement.
