Travel guide duty

Travel guide duty was a coveted assignment on Starfleet ships. The United Federation of Planets maintained travel guides on all inhabited planets, noting important landmarks, restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions, and more for Federation tourists.

In 2381, Lieutenants Beckett Mariner, Brad Boimler, Sam Rutherford, and D'Vana Tendi were assigned travel guide duty to update the Federation's travel guide records on Ferenginar. (LD: "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place")
