Territorial dispute

A territorial dispute or land dispute was a conflict over who had rightful claim to a piece of territory, land, property, or region.

In 2369, Benjamin Sisko was asked to mediate a land dispute between the Paqu and the Navot which had the potential to instigate a civil war. (DS9: "The Storyteller")

In 2375, the USS Enterprise-E was needed to mediate a territorial dispute in the Goren system. Jean-Luc Picard was reluctant to go, as it would delay their archaeological expedition to Hanoran II. (Star Trek: Insurrection)
