Goren system

The Goren system was a planetary system which was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. In 2375, the inhabitants of this system needed mediation to resolve a territorial dispute.

With the Federation Diplomatic Corps otherwise engaged in Dominion negotiations, Starfleet Command ordered Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise-E to the Goren system to mediate the dispute, a directive which annoyed Captain Picard, as doing so would require putting off their archaeological expedition to Hanoran II. Picard ultimately chose to delay the mission in favor of taking the Enterprise to Sector 441 to investigate a mysterious malfunction experienced by Lieutenant Commander Data. This system was only mentioned in dialogue.
The Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets III") gave an alternate name for this system as Delta Geminorum. This was a trinary star system visible from Earth in the constellation Gemini and was approximately 60.5 light years from Sol. It was located in the Beta Quadrant.
