Khitomer system

The Khitomer system was an inhabited planetary system in the Beta Quadrant. This system was located within a sector disputed over by the Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire in the 24th century. With the collapse of the Romulan Star Empire in 2387 following a supernova that destroyed the empire's capital system, the Klingon Empire gained full control of the sector and Khitomer.

Components

Stellar system

This was a trinary star system. It consisted of a pair of F-type stars and one K-type star. One of these stars was the primary of the planet Khitomer.

Planetary system

The planet Khitomer was located in the system's habitable zone.

History

By the mid-23rd century, this planet was home to Camp Khitomer. Within decades, the camp became a Klingon colony called the Khitomer Outpost. Stellar Cartography

In 2256, this system's location was labeled on the star chart "Alpha/Beta Quadrant Overview" in the ready room aboard the USS Discovery. The system was located in the territory of the Klingon Empire. (DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad", "The War Without, The War Within")

A year later, its location was labeled on the star chart showing the trajectory of Lieutenant Spock's shuttle. (DIS: "An Obol for Charon")

In 2258, the system's location was labeled on a star chart seen on the main viewscreen of the USS Enterprise. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2")

In 2259, the location of this system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol was a red Klingon Empire logo, indicating its affiliation with the empire. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Spock Amok")

In 2369, the location of Khitomer was labeled on the "Deep Space 9 Traffic Comm Database" star chart, where it was located within the territorial confines of the Romulan Star Empire. (TNG: "Birthright, Part II" display graphic)

The system's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401.
