James Minor (born 24 April 1953; age 72) is an actor and musician who worked as stand-in and photo double for Michael Dorn from the fourth until the seventh season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He was also among the regular background performers on Deep Space Nine and worked as stand-in and stunt double for Michael Dorn on Star Trek: Insurrection. Minor actually "played" Worf when only wide shots of the character were needed for an episode and Dorn was busy filming elsewhere such as in the episodes "The Visitor", "Tears of the Prophets", and "Take Me Out to the Holosuite".

Minor started to work as an actor in 1990 through Central Casting when he moved to Los Angeles. He appeared in episodes of Picket Fences (1992, with Justin Shenkarow, Natalia Nogulich, Kelly Connell, Michael Keenan, Roy Brocksmith, Harvey Jason, Ray Walston, Maria Berman, Ivy Borg, Gene Cross, Bob Harks, and Larry Humburger), Babylon 5 (1994, with Claudia Christian, Bill Mumy, Kate McNeil, Mark Rolston, David L. Crowley, Bill Blair, Carl Ciarfalio, Caron Colvett, Grace Harrell, Dan Magee, Jim Norton, and Warren Tabata), Brutally Normal (2000, with Leigh J. McCloskey), The Finder (2012), Glee (2014), and Rizzoli & Isles (2014).

Besides working as model, hand model, and stand-in such as for Danny Glover on the music drama Dreamgirls (2006, with Eddie Murphy, Dawnn Lewis, Ivar Brogger, Vince Grant, Robert Curtis Brown, Daniel Riordan, Kelly Sheerin, Robert Amico, David Paul Christian, Justin Rodgers Hall, and Damion Poitier), Minor also worked as an R'n'B and Soul singer with performances in different clubs.
