Dawnn Lewis
Dawnn J. Lewis (born 13 August 1961; age 63) is an American actress, singer, voice actress, and songwriter who voices Captain Carol Freeman in Star Trek: Lower Decks. [1] For her work on the first season of the series, she was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance (Television), [2] and won an "Outstanding Actress Animated Program" Women's Image Network (WIN) Award.
Career
Lewis has also voiced characters in The Simpsons, King of the Hill (starring Pamela Segall, Stephen Root and Lauren Tom), and Spider-Man. She voiced Nefertiti/Catwalk from Supermodels. She also performed a recurring role as LaBarbara Conrad on Futurama, where she played a character who was married to (Lower Decks co-star) Phil LaMarr's character Hermes Conrad. Additionally, she voices the occasional character, Professor Klabrax V, in the Cleopatra in Space series as well as Storm in X-Men video games.
In live action, Lewis had a recurring role on Major Crimes from 2014-18, which starred Jonathan Del Arco and Raymond Cruz.
