Ikalia

Ikalia was a star system inside Klingon space in the Beta Quadrant. It was a single star system with a single primary.

Stellar cartography

In 2256, this system's location was labeled on the star chart "Alpha/Beta Quadrant Overview" in the ready room aboard the USS Discovery. (DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad", "The War Without, The War Within")

In 2257, the system's location was labeled on the star chart showing the trajectory of Lieutenant Spock's shuttle. (DIS: "An Obol for Charon")

In 2399, the system's location in neutral space was labeled on a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters. (PIC: "Maps and Legends")

This star system was only mentioned in writing.

The name of this system came from the source material used, the Star Trek: Star Charts and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library, to create the star charts seen in both Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Picard.

Further information on this system could be had from the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 63) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). The primary of the Ikalia system was classified as a M-class star. In the 2270s, V'ger traveled near or through this system on its course towards Earth.

The Ikalian asteroid belt might possibly be found in this system.
