Green thumb

Green thumb was a slang term that generally referred to an exceptional aptitude for gardening or successfully growing plants.

According to terraformer Gideon Seyetik, "a great terraformer needs the green thumb of a gardener, the eye of a painter, and the soul of a poet", also adding, "and it doesn't hurt to be a raging egomaniac." (DS9: "Second Sight")

Lieutenant Junior Grade Brad Boimler and Sam Rutherford fought over who should water a bonsai named Lil Boney in their quarters, with Boimler pointing that he had a green thumb. (LD: "Something Borrowed, Something Green")
