Lil Boney

Lil Boney was a bonsai jointly kept by Brad Boimler and Sam Rutherford after they moved into shared quarters on the USS Cerritos in 2381. They described it as "super-hard to raise" and "basically like a son to [them]."

That year, Boimler and Rutherford got into an argument about who should mist Lil Boney, which they were able to settle when they both played Mark Twain on the holodeck. They later suggested the same approach to resolve a dispute between Captain Carol Freeman and the Chalnoth Coqqor, which did not succeed. When they explained where the idea had come from, Coqqor was intrigued by their mention of bonsai. He found Lil Boney "beautiful", but then ate the tree whole.
