Forfeit

A forfeit was the act of abandoning a sports competition and thereby granting one's opponent the victory by default.

In 2371, despite Syvar's warning that Miles O'Brien would be forfeiting their darts game if he left early to have shoulder surgery, O'Brien left anyway. (DS9: "Shakaar")
