Exhibit (legal)

An exhibit was a document or other object shown to a witness and referred to by the witness in evidence.

In 2267, Spock commanded the computer to report on analysis of Exhibit A, and it did so and responded, "Exhibit A on visual. Composition of blade, boridium. Composition of handle, murinite. Details of carving on handle conform to folk art forms, indicating place of origin." (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")
