Folk art

Folk art was a genre of art produced by unskilled laborers.

In 2267 , USS Enterprise's computer identified the origin of carvings on a murder weapon used in several killings on Argelius II as folk art done by the Hill People of Rigel IV in the Argus River region. This cast suspicion on Mr. Hengist as the culprit (more specifically, Redjac, having inhabited Hengist's body), as he was a native of Rigel IV. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")
